Sussex Garden wins The Free Eagle Fillies maiden

The first in the INS Stallions Summer Series commenced at Naas on saturday with Sussex Garden, a 2Yo daughter of Acclamation winning The Free Eagle Irish EBF Fillies maiden  for trainer Jessica Harrington, jockey Shane Foley and owner Cormac O’ Flynn. 


Out of the Makfi mare Mary Mc Phee, Sussex Garden was bred by Sir Peter Vela, Richmond & Jeremy Gompertz who have won a nomination to Free Eagle for the 2021 season.

Free Eagle is off to a great start with his oldest crop now 3YO’s headed by the recent Listed Cocked Hat Stakes victor Khalifa Sat who now heads to the Gr.1 Derby.


The INS Stallions Summer Series now moves to The Curragh racecourse for the Derby Festival where Phoenix of Spain will sponsor the 2YO Fillies maiden on friday evening.
