Elusive Pimpernel’s Thedevilscoachman looks a leading Novice Hurdler for JP McManus

The 5yo Thedevilscoachman, a son of Elusive Pimpernel won the Dunmoe Rated Novice hurdle impressively at Navan last Friday. Despite running very green when last seen finishing 5th  in the Grade 1 Future Champion Novice hurdle at Leopardstown behind top novice hurdler Appreciate It. It appears he learnt a lot that day with the talented son of Elusive Pimpernel scoring impressively with well fancied rivals well behind him.

Thedevilscoachman was bred by Robert Long and is trained by Noel Meade who is aiming this gelding at the Grade 1 Supreme Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham where he will head with a leading chance. Owned by JP McManus it is fantastic to see a top Elusive Pimpernel carry the famous green and gold colours and with this smart horse now a three time winner from just four starts we are excited to see if he can carry those colours to glory in the top meetings this year.
