The Irish National Stud & Gardens is set to host two magical productions this summer in July that are sure to delight visitors. Presented by the renowned Chapterhouse Theatre Company, these open-air garden theatre productions promise to be unforgettable experiences set against the beautiful backdrop of the Irish National Stud & Gardens.
On Wednesday 21st of June 2023, Chapterhouse Theatre Company will present a stunning production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This romantic comedy is one of Shakespeare’s best-loved plays and is sure to enchant audiences. Allow yourself to be transported to the most magical of forests, where you’ll meet star-crossed lovers, playful fairies, and hilarious travelling players. With beautifully designed Elizabethan costumes, a wonderful musical score, and enchanting woodland creatures, this evening of summer garden theatre promises to be unforgettable. Join young Mary Lennox on a journey of discovery as she is sent to her uncle’s house in the countryside, where she encounters mysteries and secrets at every turn. As Mary makes new friends and meets magical creatures, she embarks on a quest to find the location of her uncle’s secret garden and uncover the key. This enchanting story, loved by both children and adults, will be situated in the heart of the Irish National Stud & Gardens, making it one of the highlights of the summer.
