Position: Night Foaling Operative
This is a full time role requiring the successful candidate to be available to rotate over two weeks. Three night’s week one, and four night’s week two, over a seven day week, January to June 2019.
The ideal candidate:
Should be competent and have experience of attending to Thoroughbred Mares, prior to and during foaling.
Be experienced in monitoring Mares and Foals post foaling.
They should be confident, knowledgeable and skilled in their response to Dystocia and the health problems of Mares and Foals throughout the night.
Be competent as they liaise with Veterinary support and Management.
Be prepared to instruct / supervise students participating in our Thoroughbred Breeding Course.
Have the administration skills necessary to prepare reports.
Be Health and Safety vigilant.
Be flexible and prepared to engage with continuous improvement activities.
The ideal candidate will have an ongoing interest in the Irish Equine Industry.

Position: Part-Time GDPR Officer
This is a part-time, permanent role, reporting to the CEO. This position may suit a person or company currently providing similar support to a Commercial Semi-State or Private Organisation.
To ensure and monitor compliance with GDPR.
To assess the Irish National Stud’s Data Protection processes and requirements.
Identify areas for improvement and implement the necessary changes to ensure compliance with the highest standards of best practice.
Support all staff in relation to data protection queries.
Assist in house data controllers with data protection impact assessments, as required.
Co-operate with the GDPR supervisory authority and act as a point of contact on issues relating to processing data and, facilitate access by the supervisory authority to documents and information.
Guide the Irish National Stud DAC on compliance, risk and related measures associated with data protection and data privacy.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and address potential issues.
Ideal Candidate will have:
Two year’s experience in either a Data Protection, Legal or Compliance role.
Excellent time management, interpersonal and influencing skills.
An aptitude for report writing, with proficient IT skills to include Microsoft Office.
