September Sounds at the Stud

Looking for a great day out in Co. Kildare? The Irish National Stud & Gardens are delighted to host September Sounds at the Stud. Throughout the month of September, every Sunday, join us for several unique musical experiences, perfect for the whole family.

 

Shows are included in admission price to visit the Irish National Stud & Gardens. All shows take place at The Irish National Stud & Gardens, Tully, Kildare, Co. Kildare R51 KX25.

 

September 3rd 2.15 – 3.15

St Mary’s Reed and Brass Band, Maynooth is one of the oldest in the Country and is both a Marching and Concert Band. The venues in which they have played include Croke Park, Farmleigh House, Castletown House Celbridge, RDS Dublin (International Eucharistic Congress 2012), St. Patrick’s Day Parades in Kansas City USA (Winner of Best Band Award), Manchester, Maynooth, Kilcock, Clane and Dunboyne. Winners at Limerick International Marching Band Competition and runners up at South of Ireland Band Championships 2012.

 

September 10th 2:15 – 3:15

Ballymore Eustace Concert Band is a community based; intergenerational ensemble founded in 1875. This award-winning band competes and entertains at the highest levels in Ireland, performing at a variety of events from village fairs to Electric Picnic, an international music & arts festival. Jon Clifford has directed the band since 2011. Currently, the band’s eclectic repertoire features music from several genres including classical music, swing, jazz, music from movies and musicals and rock/pop arrangements.

 

September 17th 2.15 – 3.15

The Swing Cats are Ireland’s top swing band and offer a performance that blends modern contemporary songs mixed with swing music taken from the Great American Songbook and is strategically crafted to attract all generations to the dance floor. They have had multiple sold out Shows at Vicar Street, The National Concert Hall, The Olympia Theatre and have had multiple performances on RTE, including The Late Late Show and most recently The Ultimate Irish Playlist.

 

September 24th 2.15 – 3.15

The Wild Turkeys are an energetic traditional Irish music group with a unique lively, upbeat sound that will guarantee to have your foot tapping. The Turkeys are constantly in high demand and have performed throughout Ireland, France, Scotland, Denmark and the USA at private functions, festivals, and pub gigs.  In 2021 they were invited to take part in the Mobile Music Machine Covid Care Concerts where they performed over 50 concerts with internationally renowned musicians Luka Bloom, John Spillane and Orla Fallon.
