Cheshire Dancer Triumphs: Securing Win Number 8!

Cheshire Dancer, a two-year-old filly sired by Phoenix of Spain, achieved a notable victory last Sunday at Beverley racecourse, becoming her sire’s eighth individual winner. The filly is under the care of Trainer Hugo Palmer and is owned by Manor House Stables Syndicate. The filly’s performance on the track showcased a combination of speed, determination, and the potential to rise among the ranks, on only her second start.

Bred by Ciara Eglington, Cheshire Dancer was acquired for €36,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland Yearling sale by SackvilleDonald. She is the seventh foal out of Kristal Xenia, who is sired by Xaar.

Notably, Kristal Xenia is a half-sister to four winners, including Cherie Good, who achieved success as a 2-year-old Listed RPR 102. Additionally, Val Nanda, another half-sibling, also made her mark in the 2-year-old Listed races with a notable rating of 100. Lollipop Girl, a winner at 6 furlongs as a 2-year-old, including a Listed race, further adds to the impressive lineage of Cheshire Dancer’s family.

Phoenix of Spain, has carved out a notable reputation as a first-season sire. With an impressive 40% success rate of winners to runners, he has produced standouts like the Group 2 Vintage Stakes champion, Haatem. We are excited for what lies ahead.
