It’s an exciting time of year with the flat season now in full swing. The first breeze up sale began this week with the Craven Breeze Up taking place and it was wonderful to see a great result for resident Stallion, Equiano.
Roderic Kavanagh of Glending Stables consigned Lot 9, an Equiano full-brother to The Tin Man who was a three time Group 1 winner in his own right. Bought from Newsells Park Stud at Book 2 for 52,000gns, the colt showed blistering pace to breeze 2nd quickest. The sales ring reflected this and he was bought by Oliver St Lawrence for 170,000gns. Bred by Mrs Grundy, he is an exciting prospect and one to look out for throughout the season ahead.
