The three year old filly, Pale Iris, by Dragon Pulse impressed last Monday winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap on the Curragh. Starting this new flat season with a fourth place in the middle of March and a third place in April, the filly keeps improving.
Joseph Murphy, her trainer from Fethard in Tipperary, gave her a few months break after her first race last October, which has been beneficial for her. Jockey Gary Carroll travelled at the back of the pack to come strong over 1f out. Pale Iris shown to everybody her strength, and was determined to win.
Pale Iris is likely to reappear shortly and we can’t wait to see her again. Bred by Thomas Shirley, she was owned by her trainer until the 16th of March before being sold during the Goffs February mixed Sales to Crampscastle Bloodstock.
Congratulations to all the connections.
