Dare we hope that finally we’ve put the snow, and constant rain behind us ?
I certainly hope so.
Here in the Japanese gardens and St Fiachras garden we’re finally getting glimpses
Primula Wanda in the Japanese Gardens
of Spring. Lots of herbaceous plants sticking their heads over the ground, Camellias and early Cherry blossoms in full flower, and the bulbs, unsung heroes of Spring, giving a fabulous show.
The likes of Scilla and Frittilaria ignore the vagaries of our Irish weather and stand proud and colourful. It’s a wonderful time of year to visit with us when it is possible to appreciate the structural beauty of the Japanese Gardens and enjoy the beauty of nature in St. Fiachras.
Just to wander around quietly and
Helleborus in the Japanese Gardens
take in the simplicity of nature in the relaxed atmosphere of both gardens is something not to be missed.
Springtime at the Irish National Stud has a lot more to offer than just foals, so why not come along and experience it for yourself.
