First Dragon Pulse Foal Arrives

First Dragon Pulse Foal Arrives

20th Jan 2014

The first foal by our freshman sire Dragon Pulse arrived at Dermot Dwan’s Kellsgrange Stud in County Kilkenny on Saturday night. The bay filly foal is out of the unraced King of Kings mare; Peaceful Kingdom. She is described as “a most attractive filly, with plenty of bone, good size, very correct and a pretty head”.

Peaceful Kingdom is the dam of two winners from two runners. She is a half-sister to Gr.1 Man o’ War Stakes winner Magistretti who also placed 2nd in 4 Gr.1 races viz. the Juddmonte International Stakes, Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris, Joe Hirsch Turf Classic and the Arlington Million Stakes. Her second dam is an own sister to the Gr.2 winning and Gr.1 placed sire; Damister.

A handsome son of Kyllachy, Dragon Pulse beat Gr.1 Dewhurst winner Parish Hall when taking the Gr.2 Futurity Stakes and finished second to Power in the Gr.1 National Stakes at two. On his first start at three he defeated champion juvenile Dabirsim in the Gr.3 Prix de Fontainebleau at Longchamp. We hope that Dragon Pulse can pass on his good looks and talent to his progeny and we welcome the arrival of the rest of his first crop of foals!
