Coeur Sublime for Elusive Pimpernel

Coeur Sublime for Elusive Pimpernel

1st May 2018

Coeur Sublime,  a 3 year old gelding by our resident stallion Elusive Pimpernel made a winning debut at Navan Racecoure on 23rd April for trainer Peter Fahey and owners Tim O’ Driscoll.  Elusive Pimpernel also sired the third placed Elysian Plains for Ger Lyons. Bred by head stallion man here at the Irish National Stud, Paul Croke, he was sold as a foal at Goffs and returned to the sales ring as a yearling at Tattersalls Ireland where he was knocked down to Aidan O’ Ryan for €31,000.

The strapping son of Elusive Pimpernel then appeared at the Goffs Boutique Horses in training sale at Punchestown three days later where he was knocked down to Kevin Ross Bloodstock for €260,000. He fetched the second top lot of the sale with Nick Nugent announcing ‘He could be anything!’ and Kevin Ross clearly agrees. We look forward to seeing where he appears next!

Elusive Pimpernel has had a great start to the year with his progeny including Elegant Pose who was placed on her seasonal reappearance in the Gr.3 Park Express Stakes at Naas and holds some exciting entries for the year.
