The first foal by Irish National Stud resident Shouldvebeenaring has arrived. Athnid Stud welcomed a cracking colt out of Irish Madam (full sister to G1 placed Strath Burn), her two-year-old of 2025 How’sthebai was a winner on his most recent start at Dundalk last October for Ger Lyons.
Shouldvebeenaring is the only son of leading sire Havana Grey at stud in Ireland and retired a multiple stakes winner at two, three and four.
Placing second in the G1 Haydock Sprint Cup at three, he returned as a four-year-old to land the G3 Prix De Ris Orangis.
He retired Timeform rated 119, equal to his own champion sire Havana Grey.
Director of sales Gary Swift was quoted “an excellent colt for Shoulvebeenaring, good bone, great depth at his hip and shoulder, sharp, alert head and just like Havana Grey’s stock. It was also very fitting that a member of the Quinlan family welcomed his first foal as they are very close friends of INS.
