September Sounds at the Stud returns for 2025

September Sounds at the Stud returns for 2025, offering visitors a chance to enjoy live music in the beautiful setting of the Irish National Stud & Gardens. Each Sunday in September from 2.15pm to 3.15pm, a local band or orchestra will perform on the deck overlooking the lake, creating a tranquil backdrop to your visit. From brass and reed to folk and orchestral music, these performances are included in general admission, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to your day.

7th Sept – St Mary’s Brass & Reed Band Maynooth

Opening the series is St. Mary’s Brass & Reed Band from Maynooth, one of the country’s oldest ensembles. With around 50 members ranging in age from 10 to 70, the band is celebrated for its versatility as both a marching and concert band, with a proud history of award-winning performances.

14th Sept – Wexford Folk Orchestra

The Wexford Folk Orchestra brings the rich traditions of Irish folk music to life with a wide-ranging repertoire of songs and tunes. This group of dedicated amateur musicians shares Ireland’s cultural heritage through lively, heartfelt performances.

21st Sept – The County Kildare Orchestra

The County Kildare Orchestra is a volunteer group that has become a cornerstone of music in the region. Made up of skilled adult musicians, the orchestra is known for delivering memorable performances that balance much-loved classics with ambitious works.

28th September – Ballymore Eustace Concert Band

Closing the series is the Ballymore Eustace Concert Band, a local favourite with a broad repertoire spanning classical arrangements to popular favourites. Known for their engaging stage presence, they provide the perfect finale to September Sounds.

September Sounds at the Stud offers the perfect excuse to linger a little longer on a Sunday. As music drifts across the lake and the gardens provide their seasonal colour, visitors can enjoy an hour of performance woven seamlessly into the experience of the Stud. With a different group each week, every visit feels unique, making September the ideal time to plan a trip and enjoy the harmony of music and nature together.
