Indigo Dawn Impresses on Debut at Goodwood

Indigo Dawn , a striking daughter of Nando Parrado out of Angel of Light, made a sparkling debut in the EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Goodwood on Friday, landing the six-furlong contest in convincing style for trainer Richard Hannon and owners AMO Racing Limited.

Breaking sharply, the bay filly showed early professionalism to sit just off the pace before quickening decisively inside the final furlong to draw clear, leaving her rivals well behind in a promising display.

Bred by Ballinafad Stud, Indigo Dawn was a 75,000 gns purchase at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze up sale by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock from Lackendarra Stables.

Indigo Dawn becomes yet another exciting juvenile for Richard Hannon and AMO Racing—a partnership that continues to churn out quality prospects on the flat.

“She’s a filly we’ve liked at home for some time,” said Hannon. “There’s a lot more to come from her physically and mentally, and she’ll improve for the experience. You’d like to think she could be Royal Ascot material.”
