We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting two very special events at the Irish National Stud & Gardens as part of our celebration of Biodiversity Week. As a team, we are passionate about the natural world and are dedicated to protecting the biodiversity of the stud and the surrounding area.
On Tuesday, May 23rd at 12pm, we are delighted to welcome bee expert Dr. Brendan Kavanagh to give a talk titled “For the love of bees” at the Irish National Stud & Gardens. As our resident beekeeper, Brendan manages all the hives on site and oversees the production of honey. This talk will cover all aspects of beekeeping, from the fascinating biology of bees to their crucial role in pollination and honey production. It will be an intimate event, allowing attendees to ask questions and learn from one of the best.
The following day, on Wednesday, May 24th at 12pm, we have planned a bird spotting and wildlife walk with expert Barry Nolan. Barry is a knowledgeable wildlife expert who will guide you around the stud farm, pointing out bird groups, nesting areas and other wildlife. We recommend bringing your own binoculars for the best experience possible. This event is a wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with the natural world and to learn more about the diversity of life around us.
Both events are included with the purchase of a general admission ticket, but spaces are limited, and we are allocating them on a first-come, first-served basis.
To reserve your spot, simply email Amanda Kelly at
