Phoenix of Spain continues outstanding start

Phoenix of Spain has continued his outstanding start to the 2023 season.

Haatem built on his impressive Craven victory in the 2000 guineas finishing a gallant third and looks even more promising going forward than we expected and looks to be getting better every time we see him.

Flying Finn also looks a promising filly for Phoenix of Spain winning in Doncaster by three- and three-quarter lengths and received a rating of 86 after the impressive win.

Paddy Twomey’s colt Cill Mocheallog finished an encouraging third on debut at Dundalk in March but took a good step forward when winning a Gowran Maiden over 7f. He showed an excellent attitude as he was headed by his rival who was travelling better at the 2f pole. He looks a nice prospect and showed his ability to handle testing conditions too, while he shapes as if he will certainly stay a mile.

Phoenix of Spain also had another very impressive winner in ascot over a mile with the Ice Phoenix. He made every yard, looking in control from a fair way out and winning by two and a quarter lengths.
