Céilí at the Cottage – A Family Fun Day Celebrating History & Heritage

A celebration of Irish heritage with music, dance and more

The Irish National Stud & Gardens are delighted to present Céilí at the Cottage – a celebration of the re-opening of the traditional thatched cottage nestled in the grounds of the Irish National Stud & Gardens. Join us on Tuesday 29th July from 12pm to 4pm at the thatched cottage, to celebrate Irish heritage with music, dance and more.

It promises to be an exciting day of family fun, thanking the local community who have been hard at work gathering up authentic and historic items, from furniture to kitchen equipment, artwork and so much more. Activities on the day will include displays from local artisans and craftspeople, demonstrations of traditional practices, fairground rides, arts and crafts, live music and dancing, food, and more. With live music from local performers and dancing from local dance groups, this event is as much about giving back to the local community as it is about celebrating local heritage, history and culture as it is preserved today.
