Explosive Potential! 4 Winners in 4 Days!

In the world of horse racing, it’s not just the champions on the track that capture our attention; it’s also the stallions producing exceptional progeny. Over the past four days, the Phoenix of Spain’s lineage has shone brightly with four new individual winners, showcasing their remarkable talent and the promise of even greater things to come.

1. Orderofthephoenix: A Blazing Debut

The winning streak began with Orderofthephoenix, trained by Adrian Mc Guinness and owned by the partnership of Shamrock Thoroughbreds, Syndicates Racing, and Dolmen Racing Club.

This two-year-old sensation made a stellar second start, leaving her competition trailing by an impressive 4 ¾ lengths.

Bred by Leahan Bloodstock, she’s the third foal out of the Exceed and Excel mare Santa Anabaa. As a graduate of the Tattersalls Ireland breeze-up sale where she was acquired for €60,000, Orderofthephoenix is now gearing up for a Stakes race in France in the upcoming weeks. Her tremendous turn of foot has already marked her as one to watch.

2. Dancingwithmyself: A Winning Homebred Gem

The second winner in this remarkable run is Dancingwithmyself, a homebred filly from the Irish National Stud, sired by Phoenix of Spain and out of the Oasis Dream mare Dreamaway.

Trained by  Michael Bell, she was a €40,000 acquisition by Nick Bell for owners David Kilburn and Christopher Wright at the Goffs Orby sale. Dancingwithmyself secured her first-place finish at Chelmsford City racecourse on just her second start, outpacing the competition by 1 ½ lengths.

Dancingwithmyself is a half-sister to prolific winners Bing Bang Bong (RPR 105), Han Solo Berger (95) and Dragon Beat; her dam is an unraced half-sister to 2yo Group 3 winner Foss Way.

3. Magnezja: A Star on the Rise

The winning streak continued with Magnezja, who secured victory on only her second start, impressively trained by Dominika Witusiak Volteo. Bred by Sabah Mubarak Al Sabah, this promising filly is the second offspring of the unraced mare Soothing Anthem (Australia). She hails from the Family of HELLVELYN, HERBORITE, and FAST and FURIOUS.

Magnezja’s journey began with a modest investment, she was purchased for €7,000 at the Goffs Autumn yearling sale. She has more than rewarded her connections with a bright future ahead.

4. Alpheratz: Great promise at Gowran

The grand finale in this spectacular winning spree featured Alpheratz, a filly trained by Joseph G. Murph and owned by Gerard Kervick. On only her second start, she clinched victory in the valuable Irish EBF Median Sires Series Fillies Maiden at Gowran, under the skilled guidance of jockey Gary Carroll.

Bred by Lynn Lodge Stud, Alpheratz is the second foal out of Rosie Scott, a half-sister to 1m winner Immutable (RPR 92). Her dam is an unraced half-sister to Group 3 winner Arrest, Group 3 winner Dinozzo, and winner Spring Loaded. Alpheratz’s is a graduate of the Tattersalls Somerville sale, where she was sold for 15,000gns. Alpheratz holds an entry in the Group 3 Eyrefield Stakes at Leopardstown next.

With these four remarkable winners, Phoenix of Spain’s progeny tally now stands at 15 individual winners including Group 2 Vinatge Stakes winner HAATEM, the statistics speak for themselves—operating at just over 40% winners to runners.

With a promising cadre of young potential stars on the horizon we have every reason to be excited about what lies ahead for Phoenix of Spain.
