Coltor was back to winning ways taking the Toals Bookmaker handicap at Downpatrick yesterday for trainer Dermot Weld and jockey Darragh O’ Keeffe, owned by Mischa Bucher.
A Goffs foal sale graduate (€35,000) He was bred by Margaret Sinanan.
Racing Post analysis: Coltor emerged best with a game display. He was never far from the gallop and it is a long way home from the second-last, where he took it up. To his credit, though, he found plenty and his nearest pursuers were unable to make any impression on him. He’s a solid galloper, probably races a little lazily, but he tries and goes to the line. He looks likely to be a dual-purpose horse over the summer.
