Just 40 minutes outside of Dublin, the stud farm is the home of equine royalty.
Beautifully set on 850 acres of green rolling hills, the Irish National Stud & Gardens real gift is that it offers an opportunity to become truly immersed within the heart of nature. Children have the opportunity to interact on a tour of a working stud farm and should they complete the Wonder of Horses tour they get the chance to enjoy a fun, activity session in our classroom where they can touch and try on our range of equestrian equipment.
You will also get the opportunity to meet with the Living Legends team which are made up of famous retired racehorses, learn what they eat, how far and fast they travel and how quickly they can learn. After the guided tour explore our two amazing gardens with caves, monastic cell, stepping stones and a host of wildlife.
Visit our fairy trail and burn off some energy in our playground. Teachers can enjoy our beautiful surroundings knowing the children are in safe hands and being happily entertained. As an accredited SFI Discover Centre our school tours cover curriculum-based themes including Animals and Living Things, Maths, Materials, Environmental Awareness and Care.
