Weseekhimhere, 4 year old son of Elusive Pimpernel followed up his impressive win at Galway by landing the won the INH Flat race by 9 lengths at Listowel yesterday under Jockey Jamie Codd for Trainer Gordon Elliott and Owners John Doyle and Caren Walsh. Bred by Kildaragh Stud, Weseekhimhere is the second produce of the Jeremy mare Rhythm Nation. He is a Goffs Landrover graduate when selling for €70,000 to Aiden O’ Ryan and Gordon Elliott.
Racing Post analysis; Weseekhimhere could be quite useful indeed and proved that his Galway rout was no fluke, quickening up impressively off what appeared a moderate enough pace. Jamie Codd always appeared to be confident in what he had underneath him and this four-year-old isn’t short of pace. It will be interesting to see whether connections target a black type bumper with him or consider a hurdles campaign.
Post race Jockey Jamie Codd commented ‘He had two quick runs, Roscommon went all wrong and then he won very well at Galway. Gordon freshened him up and gave him a small break. He’s a smart horse, another one well bought by Bobby O’Ryan. The ground at Galway was a bit on the soft side but he handled it and he handled today brilliant. He’ll be a nice horse to go jumping, I don’t know what they’ll do because they could keep him for bumpers on the back of that or go over hurdles. He’s only a four-year old.’
We look forward to what the future holds for this smart son of Elusive Pimpernel. Definitely one for the future!
