Two winners in One week For INS Racing

Two winners in One week For INS Racing

9th Oct 2018

What an unbelievable week it was for the Irish National Stud Breeding and Racing Club. It is something racehorse owners only dream of. One winner would do, but to have two in one week is something special!

Divine Approach storming home to win at Navan Racecourse

INS Racing have two fillies in training this year and they have given the club some very exciting days out. The first is Divine Approach, a three year old half-sister to Red Cadeaux. We introduced you all to her last year and she has really come into herself.  Divine Approach has enjoyed her work immensely and started her three year old campaign in Gowran Racecourse, County Kilkenny earlier in the year. Since then, she has brought us to each corner of Ireland and finally took centre stage in Navan Racecourse in County Meath, storming her way through the field to take victory for jockey Leigh Roche and trainer Michael O’Callaghan. She was very impressive and there will be a lot more to come from Divine Approach as she grows into a fine strong filly.

Lethal Promise winning the Listed Blenheim Stakes at Fairyhouse Racecourse

Our second filly is Lethal Promise, a stunning two year old by Invincible Spirit out of Lethal Quality. The Willie McCreery trained homebred is well related and has given us a lot of excitement. Lethal Promise has had a total of  6 starts  in  both Ireland and England and has run in very good company. She has provided  two winning days out this year. The first win, at Naas Racecourse, was won easy under jockey Billy Lee. Her other win was in Fairyhouse Racecourse, again under the guidance of Billy Lee. Lethal Promise eased her way to the front to storm home and take the Listed Blenheim Stakes without any worries from competitors. What a day! Lethal Promise is a special filly and has given us the thrills of having a high class racehorse. Who knows she could bring us to Royal Ascot next year!!

It has been a wonderful experience for the club which has included many days racing, exclusive visits to stud farms and training yards as well as the opportunity to get involved in the breeding industry. Next stop is Goffs auction house to see the club foals sell to potential buyers. The club get the opportunity to learn the full picture of the bloodstock industry. From the breeding shed to the racecourse, the INS Breeding & Racing Club offers a chance to experience all the thrills and spills of breeding and racing thoroughbreds. There is a lot more excitement planned for the future so watch this space!!
