8th Jul 2013

Invincible Spirit enjoyed a Stakes Treble over the weekend with his female progeny.

First up Tickled Pink (Invincible Spirit – Cassandra Go, by Indian Ridge) took the Group 3 Sprint Stakes at Sandown for owner breeder Trevor Stewart and Lady Cecil. The 4 year old grey mare saw off dual Group 1 winning Kingsgate Native to score by a length. The King George Stakes at Goodwood are next on her agenda.

Moonlight Cloud (Invincible Spirit – Ventura, by Spectrum) added to Invincible Spirit’s success with an easy win in the Group 3 Prix de la Porte Maillot for owner breeder George Strawbridge and trainer Freddy Head.

She dashed home brilliantly from the 400 metres to have the Longchamp race in hand with 100 metres to travel, drawing away to beat Amarillo by 2-1/2 lengths.

“She is a dream to train and is all class,” Moonlight Cloud’s trainer Freddy Head said.

“That will have done her a lot of good and we’ll stick to the plan and try and win the Maurice de Gheest for a third time.”

Mayyadah completed Invincible Spirit’s terrific weekend when landing the Listed Prix Amadine at Maisons-Laffitte for owner H H Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al Thani and trainer Freddy head.

Mayyadah blitzed her opposition when breezing by all of her rivals to score a 2-1/2 length win without jockey Olivier Peslier using the whip on her.
