Shona Mea, success for Breeding & Racing Club

Shona Mea, success for Breeding & Racing Club

12th Jun 2020

Shona Mea, 3YO daughter of Dragon Pulse made all to win the Kilkenny Medieval Mile Handicap at Gowran Park yesterday for trainer Jessica Harrington, jockey Shane Foley and owner Pat Harty.

Bred by The Irish National Stud Breeding & Racing Club, she was sold as a foal at Goffs to her now owner Pat Harty.

Racing Post analysis

‘Probably not your typical 0-65 with some leading stables represented with unexposed types. The winner fits that bill and could be open to more progression while there should be a few more winners to emerge from those in behind.’

‘Shona Mea made it a quick double for the trainer-rider combination and had this in the bag a long way from the line. She made all, scarcely looked like getting beaten on her handicap debut, and was well on top at the line. She could handle whatever the handicapper throws at her within reason.’

We look forward to see what this progressive daughter of Dragon Pulse can do in the future.
