The Irish National Stud & Gardens is home to an array of different plant species that can be found throughout the grounds. From our wood land plants in St Fiachras Garden to our pond side plants along our lakes and waterfalls. To our array of specimen trees planted around the grounds, to our iconic bonsai and cloud trees in the Japanese Gardens. There is something for every type of plant lover. Wonderful flowering plants in our herbaceous and dazzling shrubs planted in our mixed border, our gardening team are always excited to add more variety of plants to our list.
That’s why we are thrilled to host the Irish Specialist Nursery Association (ISNA) plant fair on our grounds on Saturday 10th August from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. This event is a unique opportunity for our visitors and Plantaholics alike to purchase that rare and special plant.
The plant fair will take place in the Tourism Car Park and entrance to the plant fair is free.
To add to the day, the Irish National Stud & Gardens will also host Bonsai Enthusiast Ian Young from Northern Ireland Bonsai Society. Ian will be showcasing spectacular bonsai plants, as well as giving a talk and demonstration on bonsai and the management of them.
Admission fee required to both visit the Irish National Stud & Gardens and attend this demonstration.
Limited spaces are available for the Bonsai demonstration and talk. Booking is essential. Should you wish to attend the Bonsai demonstration please email reservations@irishnationalstud.ie or contact the team on +353 (0) 45 521617
