Palabres, a 4 year old daughter of Palavicini won the final race at Leopardstown yesterday, the Division II handicap for trainer Peter Fahey in the colours of his wife Bernadette.
Post race Peter commented
“She works very well at home. She started favourite on her first two starts for Ger (Lyons). Eamon Leigh picked her up from Patrick Cooper. She won today and we’ll hopefully find something similar for her. There is another day in her hopefully. It’s great to get a winner early on in the season. She has loads of pace and she’s a brilliant work horse at home. I was coming here today thinking if she didn’t run well there was something wrong.’
Peter has been a long time supporter of Palavicini’s half brother Elusive Pimpernel having handled some of his best progeny. We are delighted to see him have success with Palabres.
Wishing all the connections the very best in the future with her.
