Invincible Spirit scored his 14th individual Group 1 victory when Signs Of Blessing won the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville yesterday (Sunday 7th August).
The five-year-old gelding was bred by Serge Boucheron and is owned by Mme Isabelle Corbani. Signs Of Blessing got off to a great start in the 6½ furlong contest. He set a stern pace and never saw another rival, holding on for the win from the fast finishing Donjuan Triumphant.
After the race, trainer Francois Rohaut commented: ‘Signs Of Blessing has always shown a huge amount of promise and I am delighted he has been able to make good on it today. He will have a break and then go back to Ascot. If all goes well he could go to Hong Kong after that’.
Signs Of Blessing is the second individual Group 1 winner for Invincible Spirit this year along with Profitable who won the King Stand’s Stakes at Royal Ascot. His full sister sells at the forthcoming Arqana August Yearling Sale in Deauville.
Congratulations to all the winning connections.
