The 2018 champion of the Prix de Diane, Laurens, gave birth to a lovely colt by the outstanding sire, Invincible Spirit. The daughter of Siyouni is an incredible winner of six Group 1 races, including the Prix Saint Alary, the Sun Chariot Stakes and the Prix Rothschild. She visited an exceptional leading sire in Invincible Spirit for her first foal. The product between these two champions was born at Daniel Creighton and Josh Schwartz’s Salcey Forest Stud on Sunday night.
Winning her maiden at Doncaster in July 2017 for her trainer K R Burke, the filly opened her racing career with success. With three wins at 2years old, including the Fillies Mile Gr1 and the William Hill May Hill Stakes Gr2, Laurens proved she had everything of a future of multiple classic winners. With the jockey P J McDonald they ran some of the best races in the world in Ireland, England and France, leaving a good memory to everyone, today everybody knows this crack.
She finished her career running the Sun Chariot Stakes in Newmarket in October 2019, before to begin a broodmare. Her owner, John Dance, decided to send her to Invincible Spirit for her first season, before to be send to Kingman this year, which is himself by the outstanding Invincible.
Congratulations to all the connections of Laurens and her new arrival.
