Kingman set hearts racing at Newbury today as he romped to victory in what looked a solid renewal of the Greenham Stakes. The son of Invincible Spirit was electric as he lit up the Newbury straight.
The young colt settled early unlike some of his market rivals and raced in mid division in the early part of the race. Middle Park winner Astaire cut out the running under Kieren Fallon and as that rival tried to pick up a furlong out, Kingman cruised to the front. Once let down the contest was over in a matter of strides as he sauntered to victory under a hands and heels ride from James Doyle.
The son of Invincible Spirit was clinical on what was only his third start and comparisons are now being drawn to Frankel who also raced in the famous Khalid Abdullah silks. The John Gosden colt will now try to emulate that superstar as he goes for Guineas glory and heads the betting market for the Newmarket showpiece.
We wish all connections the very best of luck and we are all excited by this electric son of our star stallion Invincible Spirit.
