  1. Racing (“the Club”) confers on the Member (for the duration of their membership with the Club) a pro-rata share, in certain benefits, associated with the Club’s horses in training. The benefits of membership are:
    • An opportunity to follow all of the horses owned or controlled by the Club;
    • A Single Adult Annual Membership to the Irish National Stud;
    • Free entry to Irish racecourses on days on which the Club has a runner
    • A pro-rata Share in 50% of any of the prize money won by the Club’s horses in accordance with the terms and conditions herein
  2. There shall be a minimum of six horses in training throughout the racing season incorporating runners under both Flat and National Hunt codes. (See also clause 5 below).
  3. The Annual Membership fee will be €399, effective from 1st January 2020 until 31st December 2020.
  4. 50% of all prize money won by the Club’s horses in training during the period of membership shall be calculated and distributed as follows:
    • At the end of each Quarter, as defined as March 31st, June 30th, September 30th and December 31st all prizemoney won to that period will be allocated equally amongst the existing Members.
    • All members joining after the conclusion of each quarter will be entitled to a pro-rata divide at the next Quarterly allocation
    • Prize money will be distributed once a year in January following the conclusion of the previous year’s membership.
    • The sum allocated to Members per specific race is determined by the net total paid to the Club by Horse Racing Ireland minus race-day expenses related to entry/supplementary fees and trainer, jockey and groom expenses.
    • There can never be any guarantee of any future level of prize money given the vagaries of horse racing.
  1. The maximum number of members sharing the 6 horses in INS Racing will be 1,000. If more than1,000 members have joined an extra horse will be added for each additional 200 members who join on the following basis
    • 1,000 members + 7 horses
    • 1,200 members + 8 horses
    • 1,400 members + 9 horses
    • 1,600 members + 10 horses
  1. The maximum numbers of members will not exceed 2,000.
  2. Members will be guaranteed free entry to the racecourse when an I.N.S. Racing horse is to run at an Irish racecourse. There will be an additional ballot to grant entry to the parade ring to meet connections which may be limited depending on the racecourse. Owners badges may also be limited depending on the racecourse.
  3. The membership fee shall include free access to a brand-new technology (the Racing Manager App), provision of regular news and editorial content and invitations to specialist value-for-money trips and outings (on a bloodstock and racing theme) incorporating Club runners, where possible.
  4. Occasional hospitality events linked to a race meeting or stable visit will also be offered to members at commercial rates negotiated on a best value-for-money basis.
  5. When the Club has horses entered or declared to run The Racing Manager App will keep members fully informed and up-to-date with trainer information regarding the expected performance of the horse and this information, including post-race analysis, is for the exclusive benefit of members.
  6. In all circumstances the membership fee is not subject to any additional requests for payment in relation to the keeping and training of the racehorses.
  7. If a member chooses to leave the club before the end of the membership term there will be no refund. A share of prize money up to the cancellation date shall be settled at the end of the calendar year.
  8. If the Member chooses not to renew at the end of the membership term the membership shall expire. There is no commitment to remain a Member after the initial period has expired.
  9. Members must be aged 18 or over. Any person banned or warned off by any racing authority may not become a member of “the Club”.
  10. Members of the Club will be expected to behave in a respectful manner on the Racing Manager platform, at visits and on activity days. Any member in breach of this may be removed from the Club, at the Manager’s discretion.
  11. It is understood by the Member that:
    • Ownership of the horses and all such other horses acquired or controlled by the Club from time to time remains at all times with the Club;
    • At no time does the Member have a legal or equitable interest in any one or more of the horses referred to above (or any share thereof); and
    • All rights conferred to the Member by the Club are personal to the Member alone.
  1. Membership is primarily an entertainment. It is not an investment opportunity. Membership of the Club confers no ownership rights whatsoever.
  2. All decisions relating to the horses, trainers, administration, and general management, shall be vested in the managers of I.N.S. Racing
  3. I.N.S. Racing is owned and controlled by the Irish National Stud which has processes in place to comply with GDPR. For full information, please refer to the ‘Privacy Policy’ on our website, or available by request.
  4. Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) requires your personal details for client identity verification, subsequent client management and communications from HRI. This consent is required to facilitate your registration as an owner with HRI. Please visit for Privacy Notice.
