Celebrate the Hanami on May 11th & 12th
The Irish National Stud & Gardens, in association with the Experience Japan in Ireland, is celebrating the arrival of the ‘Sakura’ or cherry blossom on May 11th & 12th. Come and join us in celebrating this unique event.
The ‘Hanami’ or flower viewing is the centuries-old Japanese custom of families and groups all over Japan coming together to enjoy springtime and the viewing of the beautiful ‘Sakura’ or cherry blossom.
A terrific line up of activities including Origami workshops, Taiko drumming performances, Japanese archery demonstrations and much more will take place each day from 12-4.
A guided historical tour of the over 100-year-old Japanese Garden will also be given by our head gardeners. These tours occur each day at 12 and spaces are limited so arrive early.
All activities are included in the regular entrance fee.
