Gale Force Ten is set to have an exciting year ahead with his first two year olds ready to hit the track. With approximately 120 to run for him, we are excited to see what’s in store for our resident stallion. He was well represented at the recent breeze-up sales at Ascot which presented his first runners.
His top-lot, consigned by Church Farm and Horse Park Stud, was knocked down to Stephen Hillen for £75,000. A beautiful colt out of the Shamardal mare, Shamarlane, who will now go in training with Richard Hughes. ‘He’s a big strong, good-looking athlete who looks ready to run’ – Stephen Hillen.
Gale Force Tens two year olds are in good hands, with horses in training with the likes of Joseph O’Brien, Richard Hannon, Brian Ellison, Kevin Ryan and William Haggas to name but a few.
The handsome son of Oasis Dream’s progeny has caught the eye of many trainers and agents. In particular, a colt out of the Oratorio mare, Queen Myrine, and half-brother to the 102 rated son of Dark Angel, Mutawatheb, who is currently in training with Richard Hannon.
The colt boards alongside his half-brother in Hannon’s yard and is said to look like a promising horse, ‘he looks an athlete, he looks talented and he looks like he’ll progress as a 3 year old too. He’s a fantastic mover and really uses himself well’ – Middleham Park Racing.
