2019 will see the first runners on the track for Royal Ascot Group 1 Winner Free Eagle and we at The Irish National Stud are offering breeders a unique deal for our exciting young Sire for 2019. If breeders purchase a nomination to Free Eagle in 2019, you will receive a free return to the horse for 2020. (Terms and Conditions Apply)
The son of High Chaparral, a high-class two-year-old himself, has a fantastic opportunity to be a leading first season sire in 2019 and breeders could be covering their mares for free even if he soars in price for 2020. For us at The Irish National Stud, this horse ticks a lot of boxes; he boasts an outstanding pedigree, he is a fantastic individual physically and was a tough, consistent, quality Group 1 winner on the track and certainly has the profile to make a great stallion.
The market showed confidence in Free Eagle’s first yearlings, realising €400,000, 250,000gns, €200,000, 150,000gns when purchased by some of racing’s best judges such as Shadwell Estates, BBA Ireland, Peter & Ross Doyle, SackvilleDonald and Charlie Gordon-Watson. They have been placed in the care of top trainers including Richard Hannon, Ger Lyons, Dermot Weld, Andrew Balding, Charlie Hills, Martyn Meade, Joseph O’Brien, William Haggas and many more. We wait in anticipation for his first runners to soar in 2019.
“When the Irish National Stud purchased Free Eagle to stand at Stud we had great belief that he would become a successful Stallion. We have huge confidence in Free Eagle and we want to reward the breeders that share our belief and use the horse in 2019 with a free cover back to him for 2020. It is more important than ever to look after our breeders and with the competitive price points across our roster and this new “Free Eagle, Free Return” scheme we will be doing just that.”
