First Winner For Freshman

First Winner For Freshman

14th Apr 2016

Irish National Stud’s Dragon Pulse had his first winner at Newmarket this afternoon when Fiery Character won the Fillies’ Maiden. Trained by Tom Dascombe and bred by Dermot and John Dwan, the juvenile daughter of Dragon Pulse showed class and determination to overcome a quality field over 5 furlongs. The filly made every post a winning one as she showed great maturity to make all and comfortably account for her rivals by a length and a quarter.

Dragon Pulse was close to getting off the mark earlier in the day when Four Dragons was a 2 length second in a strong maiden at Ripon.

His progeny is showing the precocity and class of their sire who won the Futurity Stakes (Gr.2) at two and was second in the Gr.1 National Stakes to subsequent Guineas winner Power.

Dragon Pulse, the son of Kyllachy, stands at a fee of €5,000.

Congratulations to all winning connections
