Irish National Stud resident and one of Europe’s busiest stallions in 2015, GALE FORCE TEN has sired his first foal. Fittingly, the filly was born at Bob McCreery’s Stowell Hill in Somerset where the Royal Ascot winner GALE FORCE TEN was foaled himself six years ago.
The filly foal is out of the ROCK OF GIBRALTER mare BIDDING TIME from the immediate family of the Gr.1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner POSTPONED and Champion 2yo filly BIANCA NEARA, described by Bob McCreery simply as “very like her sire”.
Commenting on the foal’s arrival, Gary Swift, Irish National Stud, said: “ It’s the next chapter in the story for Gale Force Ten, it’s very exciting to see his first foals arriving and for his first foal to be born at his own breeder’s farm is really a nice coincidence. Gale was a lucky horse for Bob, and has so far been amazingly lucky for INS with his high fertility and good looks attracting breeders to him. He covered a really strong book of mares in 2015 with great strength in depth so it must give him a real shot at being the leading first season sire”.
