Elusive Pimpernel Joins INS

16th Dec 2013

Elusive Pimpernel is to relocate from Islanmore Stud to the Irish National Stud.

John Osborne said “ Mrs Patino, who also owns Big Bad Bob, has always regarded Elusive Pimpernel highly and was quick to nominate him as the first mate for Champion Snow Fairy. He is a big good-looking horse who was a highly rated racehorse winning the Acomb at 2 before finishing second to St Nicholas Abbey in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy. He has sired strong, correct, good-walking foals which sold very well recently. They certainly delivered a massive return on investment.

With the start he has been given at Islanmore and the support of some very astute breeders already, we expect he will continue to appeal on merit as well as for reasons of value”.

Elusive Pimpernel will continue to stand for an up-front payment of €1,000, with €700 repayable on production of a barren cert.
