Elusive Belle placed in Grade 2

Elusive Belle placed in Grade 2

29th Dec 2020

Elusive Belle, six year old daughter of Elusive Pimpernel, was following up on her win in the Handicap Chase at Newbury to finish third in Kempton Park to her stablemate, and last years Supreme Novice Hurdle winner Shiskin. Trained by Nicky Henerson for Annabel Waley-Cohen and Family, she holds an entry in the Grade 2 Paddy Power Mares Chase at Cheltenham on 19th March.

Racing Post analysis; Elusive Belle, a stablemate of the winner, had reportedly appreciated good ground when winning a Newbury handicap off 135 last month, so these softer conditions would not have played to her strengths. She ran okay in the circumstances and will have other days, potentially against her own sex at this level.

Elusive Pimpernel stands at €2,500 (in advance of covering) for the 2021 season. For inquiries contact the stud office on 045-521251.
