THE second runner for Art Connoisseur became his first winner when Der Blaue Reiter sored on his debut at Yarmouth on Tuesday 23rd April.
Der Blaue Reiter proved as precocious as his sire to win over a fast five furlongs, all the more notable given that the May-born colt has yet to turn two in real time.
Trained by George Baker, Der Blaue Reiter is the 12th runner and ninth winner for his dam Kafayef, a daughter of Secreto from the family of crack sprinter Sakhee’s Secret.
He was bred by Ann Kennedy who sold him as a foal at Tattersalls for 8,000gns, he was subsequently bought the following year by SackvilleDonald for €20,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale.
Hopefully this is the first of many winners!
