Filly jumps for joy as her mum names her HERITAGE ISLAND!
It was an exciting day at the Irish National Stud yesterday when first time mum Dreamawy chose the winning name HERITAGE ISLAND as the name of her first born. The steel grey filly was literally jumping for joy when mum chose her new moniker. Local children from Scoil Bhride Naofa adjudicated on the day and there was great excitement as mum approached the buckets to decide the winning entry. The competition to name her foal was launched on Twitter where the studs followers were invited to put forward their suggestions. Hopefully HERITAGE ISLAND will one day race where these children will be able to follow her career and who knows maybe one day she may end up being a mum herself!
