In so doing, she is a legitimate contender for the Irish 1000 Guineas, and we will have an exciting two weeks.

What They Say

The INS course 2003 was a fantastic experience. It gave me a good grounding and introduction to all aspects of the Thoroughbred Breeding Industry.  The hands-on work (especially foalings and working with stallions) was very beneficial. I made some good friends (and international contacts) whilst on the course, and still keep in touch with many.

My outstanding memories have to be the visit to Coolmore & Ballydoyle, plus a talk on yearling sales, (conformation, purchasing etc) with Brian Grassick, using a few of the INS yearlings as examples.  The Irish National Stud has a fantastic International reputation - this enabled me to work in countries such as Australia, New Zealand & South Africa. Working overseas was a great opportunity, learning new methods/approaches as well as making new contacts along the way!

The Irish National Stud Breeding Course was a great course for learning about the industry and also getting the hands-on experience in various areas of the breeding process.  It has helped me decide the direction I am going in and has opened doors to experiences I wouldn't have had otherwise. The staff were helpful and the lectures interesting on many levels. It is a well respected industry program that can provide students the opportunity of success."
Kelsey Lupo, Graduate 2011

The skills that I gained in these few months have opened doors and opportunities to me that I could not have imagined.  I was privileged to receive the Bursary Scholarship to New Zealand offered by the Irish National Stud.  I now work for one of Australia’s leading bloodstock auction houses.  A position hugely influenced by my qualifications from the Irish National Stud.
Fergal Kennedy, Magic Millions, Australia

I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about a wide range of pedigrees.
Anna Schmoelz, Germany

Fantastic six months that went a heck of a lot faster than I wanted.
