Bookings
To make the most of your time with us, we have arranged a standard itinerary which may be adopted if required. We find this keeps our young guests minds fully focused and ensures they cover all the modules within the Discover Primary Science and Maths program.
Duration of visit
3-4 hours - Irish National Stud, Japanese Gardens, St. Fiachra’s Garden and Horse Museum.
Suggested Itinerary
Arrive 11am for welcome and explanation of how to get the best out of the tour
Self Guide Tour of Japanese Garden (approx 20 minutes)
Meet the horses and museum (approx 45 minutes)
Picnic Lunch (approx 30 minutes)
Tour of St Fiachra’s Garden (DPSM worksheet time 40 minutes)
Tour of lake, woodland and Falabella petting

Return to coach
On departure, each child is encouraged to check out Kids Zone on our website where they may choose to chart the progress of a group of foals through to their racing careers. Progress reports and photographs will be updated regularly and an annual naming competition will result in one school naming a future racehorse. These updates may be downloaded as PDF’s for further classroom/scientific discussion. There is also an online gallery where children can submit their artwork and photography from the trip.
For every school trip booked, a free family pass will be extended to the booking contact to be used at a later date.
All school and group visits should be booked by email at reservations@instourism.net as far in advance as possible. Please indicate if the visit is part of the DPSM programme, date and estimated time of arrival. Confirmation will follow promptly.
