Big Bad Bob to sponsor twenty races at Dundalk

Mrs Patino (Anamoine Ltd) has generously agreed to sponsor twenty maiden races in the name of her Irish National Stud resident Big Bad Bob at Dundalk commencing this Friday 30th October until the end of the Winter Series 18th March.

Dundalk is a wonderful facility with a well maintained track and friendly and helpful staff. It has been a godsend to Irish flat owners, trainers and jockeys who used to be restricted to seven months racing a year. It is also an example of how cooperation between the Racecourse, bookmakers and HRI can work in everyone’s interests.

Big Bad Bob’s story has truly come full circle. His steep ascendancy now sees him as the go to stallion for breeders seeking a proven sire. A lifetime figure of 45% winners to runners coinciding with his first Irish National Stud sired crops underlines his strengths. BBB’s 2015 flag bearing Gr.2 daughter Bocca Bacciata has led the way in Europe and with Bob Le Beau’s Grade 1 victories in the States, his progeny are competing at the highest level on the World stage.

With exciting juveniles such as the Gr.1 Dewhurst Stakes placed Tashweeq and the Gr.3 Acomb Stakes second Bing Bang Bong, along with his best bred spring still coming through, only the sky seems to be the limit.

Tough, game and versatile are all qualities synonymous with BBB’s progeny. The ever expanding Big Bad Bob fan club, now reads like a who’s who of International trainers and counts the likes of John Gosden, Ger Lyons and Jessica Harrington as members. The sales ring has proved testament to this with support coming from the industry’s elite including David Barron, Mark Johnston, Hugo Palmer, Simon Crisford, Richard Hughes and Ed Dunlop.

Big Bad Bob’s career has already been compelling, and as 2016 will see him represented for the very first time with full Irish National Stud crops of 2, 3 and 4 year olds, this inspiring tale is about to have its finest chapter.
